Template options / Options in the list ranges / Totals in a column

XL Report Builder allows to get a lot of totals on the definite column in the list range. Below you can see options, with the help of which you can do this. We also give you the description of each option.

Sum

the sum of the values in a column;
Count
the number of items in a column;
CountNums
the number of records or rows in a column that contain numeric data;
Avg or Average
the average of the values in a column;
Max
the largest value in a column;
Min
the smallest value in a column;
Product
the result of multiplying all the values in a column;
StDev
an estimate of the standard deviation of a population, where the column is the sample;
StDevP
the standard deviation of a population, where the column is the entire population;
Var
an estimate of the variance of a population, where the column is the sample;
VarP
the variance of a population, where the column is the entire population;

More detailed description of all functions you will find in the Excel documentation. You should remember, that you can get only one total on the column. Also turn your attention to the «Total:» in the cell, located to the right from the sum (look at the figure below). In the service row (if it’s not removed) you can use not only constants, but also Excel formulas.
